Auditorium devs look to Kickstarter for sequel funding

Feb 28th 2012 1:45PM (Joystiq)
It's not a game that I can really play for long periods on end, but I really loved both the concept and aesthetic of Auditorium. I've bought it on both iOS and PSN, and the Steam version being SteamPlay for both Windows and MacOS means I'll buy that too.

So yeah, I'll definitely contribute to this Kickstarter.

The PS3 version of Skyrim is nearly guaranteed to become unplayable, and absolutely should not be recommended under any circumstance.

Sony the electronics company and Sony the media company have been at odds forever when it comes to restrictions on content, so while yes, the notion that Sony is skirting rules itself helped shape is a bit weird, it's also nothing new.

Honestly, I think this dichotomy within Sony has been more than a small hindrance when it comes to the electronics division creating devices with features that people want, but I doubt Sony really wants to unload their movie studios/music labels.

Inline remote controls for iOS devices that work with your current headphones

Feb 18th 2011 1:15AM (TUAW.com)
I was actually in a similar situation, and ended up with much the same solution. I bought the Monster iSoniTalk for something like $10 after getting my iPhone 4, but it was pretty shoddy quality and stopped consistently working after about a month (and reinforced ever further my vow to never buy anything from Monster). I looked at the Shure but thought it costed way too much, and though they offered the option of special in-line mic cables for some of their newer IEMs, I wasn't interested in replacing mine. So I eventually ended up going the BT adapter route as well and got the Nokia BH-214 (less than $40). Other than being a little awkward in the clip, and wishing the battery life was a bit better, I've been much happier with it than with a normal inline remote.

No Welsh Corgi sucks, but the Golden Retriever + Shiba Inu combination makes that the easy choice.
