CD Projekt fighting Witcher 2 piracy with threat of fine

Nov 23rd 2010 1:43AM (Joystiq)
@evilkoala The former will just be BS. There really is no legitimate excuse for pirating this game - it will available both in physical copy and digital distribution, and can be had DRM-free from GOG.com.

Paris Preview: Lotus Elite shows the way forward with slick new GT

Hmm, it looks pretty good, but not very original... the rear end screams Peugeot to me, and the front looks like it could be from one of any number of sports cars.

I'm sure it'll be a lovely car to drive though!

"A Towel" was not found on the first page of comments. I am extremely disappointed.

My answer would be, of course, a towel.

I'm not sure the ad campaign which results from it is worth what, I assume, has to be a pretty high cost for doing the research/throwing the parties, but it is quite interesting.

GM launches new low-cost brand in China and it's a 'treasured horse'

Jul 19th 2010 3:12PM (Autoblog)
The most interesting aspect to this story is the fact that BMW is known as 宝马 (Bao Ma) in Chinese, which also means "treasured/valuable horse", with 马 being the most common word for "horse". Wonder what they think about this?

I said the last new rocket to be put into use, though I guess I should've specified for manned mission use, since that's implied by the video in its focus on the Saturn V. There's been a lot of planned Space Shuttle replacements, but none that are in service yet.

I think you might be looking too much into political statements that aren't there - the Space Shuttle was introduced in the early 80s, and that's the last new "rocket" that's been put into use. So as far as most people know are concerned, it really has been a long time since America has been building them, which is probably what they're going for in the ad. I don't see it as being taking shots at NASA or the US government at all.
