I picked up Enslaved because I'm a fan of Ninja Theory and love their work. Also, I really wanted a game that had some good character development in it, since I've already played Mass Effect 2 enough.
This has some awesome quality, but I'm not a big fan of the voice over. Sounds to much like Solid Snake, and not enough like the G-Man, especially using the phrase "Walk up and smell the ashes". That is a very powerful and memorable line from the opening of Half Life 2, if you aren't going to respect it by saying it with character, don't say it at all.
Having no rating system is what I thought gave joystiq reviews more character. It's not going to deter my reading of them, you guys have already built up a trust with me over the years, but I just don't like ratings. Please don't tell me they are going to be on metacritic as well.
