How about the movie is okay and people can think what they want of it without their opinions becoming irrelavent?

IMO the movie is probably the best game adaptation so far. It had some nice moments but had some serious problems. As a summer blockbuster, it was, as they say, "A-ight."

For what it's worth, Guitar Hero Metallica had skins that made the band appear as undead monsters.

Frankly I'm more surprised to hear that Neversoft will be helming another game at all. I thought it was reported that they would be fired come the end of development on GH6.

If this is Half-Life 3, why do I get the feeling they may be updating the source engine? Sure it's crazy, but it makes sense in a way.

1. It would explain why development has taken so long.

2. The first two Half-Life games had different engines. It would make sense to update the third.

3. Despite fans feeling L4D1 being a great game, Valve took the time to update it in L4D2. Perhaps they have taken a similar attitude with this next iteration.

Of course, I'm only speculating.

$90 AUD?! As a GH fan, that game is not worth that much by any means.

He said intro music. As in the first in the game. And so what if he says something immature on his twitter? Music is universal. Just because he used CotG in the beginning of BL doesn't mean he owns the song. If that was the case, he should have bought the song in its entirety and not just the rights to use it. Your argument seems void to me.

I feel they'd have to remake the drums to make them more like real drums. I can totally respect folks who prefer the drums. My brother's one of them. It'd have to be something at least a little different to make the experience unique. Besides, if a drum-centric Hero game was made, particularly by Activision, I can imagine a considerable amount of RB fans jumping on the negative for that one.

Though truth be told they've done that before and it hasn't really caused GH to cease existing.

Hopefully next time they'll get My Own Summer (Shove It). I'll wait for more songs.

Truth be told, GH usually gets decent reviews as well. The only Guitar Hero I've seen with low reviews was Van Halen. The problem is that while Rock Band has seemingly won the hearts of hardcore gamers like the ones who frequently comment here, GH, like the Wii, thrives via the casual market, despite not having scores as high as RB's.

If Activision released Drum Hero, the folks around here and other areas of the net would throw a fit.
