We have no part numbers, we have no camera part specifications. The fact that these casings look near-identical only means that they come from the same manufacturer. Maybe even the same model line, with less of a step-down in megapixels from back to front. Just because it's smaller doesn't mean it's inferior hardware.

Except that this placement will render the camera-based heart rate app useless on any iOS device but the iPhone 4...

And Scions are sold on the same lots at existing Toyota dealerships anyway, just like MINIs are sold at select BMW dealerships... It's not like they're completely segregated marques like Hyundai and Kia (yes, even though they started out that way).

Don't get me wrong -- I love MINIs and I own a new Countryman.

Just think it's intriguing that they take an already-premium compact and proceed to turn up the posh another notch with a limited edition. Be interesting to see how many of these Goodwood touches show up as factory/port/dealer options for future MINIs.
