Balance Board used in experimental airport screening study

Oct 9th 2009 5:16PM (Joystiq)
Who knows? It might lead to some great new entries in the TSA manuals, such as...

If the individual triggers greater than 3 on the AUFRS [Attempted Urinary Flow Retainment Scale], the STSO [Screening Officer] must notify an BDO [bathroom directional officer] for resolution….

Screening of the individual may proceed while waiting for a BDO response. If a BDO fails to respond within established airport timeframes, the STSO must allow the individual to proceed to the closest secure gender and access appropriate BFA [Bathroom Facility Area]. To prevent unnecessary accidents, do not attempt to detain or delay the individual from entering the BFA area for the purpose of obtaining BDO clearance….

The EVE Challenge

@Vestras (13)

I agree. I also would like to play a game that was like EVE, but minus the PvP. I would rather lose my ship to an NPC than to another player.

What I'd like to see is a game like EVE, but with PvP turned to a challenge/duel system or flagged system like in WoW as suggested. Hard core PvP is a huge distraction for those of us that like to explore. And I think there is a market for a game like EVE for those of us that like to explore and aren't into the PvP gameplay. Not saying it's wrong, just that it's not for everyone.

Gah! I swore never to play it again after having my pretty little ship blown up for the Nth time, but I am weak! Sign me up!

A distinct lack of murlocs

@6 - I said a BIG Merloc, not a level 22 elite :^)

A distinct lack of murlocs

Somewhere there should be a big ass (fin) Murloc boss. A deep throaty Mcrigugggrrrrrlgglgl! that echoes out and strikes fear in our hearts.

All the armory information you'll ever need

For starters this is pretty darn cool! But I'd rather see the stats shown broken down by level, not just level 70s. 70s are really only a representative dataset (in my mind) of the hard core players.

For example if you had the assassination/combat/stealth percentages for Rogues at each level, you could make a graph with the X axis being level (1-70) and Y axis being percent. My hunch is you'd see some interesting patterns. For example, perhaps a lot more lower level players choose stealth, but that the numbers fall off a lot once players get past like level 50. Or maybe most players make a big leap in DPS around level 40.

You know you are too old to play WoW when...

@ 4 RE: "As far as confusing rogue and rouge, they're idiots, point and laugh at them"

I used to work for Rogue Wave Software. We registered rougewave.com and had it redirect to the main sight. Also when the company when public, the SEC's own paperwork spelled it as "Rouge Wave"

Just say no to the glow!

And here I thought you meant get rid of that annoying glow on swords!

What mob do you love to hate?

Jun 26th 2007 7:29PM (WoW)
I'm absolutely with C-DUB - murlocs are endlessly cute, funny, amusing and so forth. They sound great, they even die funny (great drama).

For a different reason the one mob I love to love are the stealth critters like the shadow cats. I really enjoy stalking them (as Rogue) and trying to find them & beat them at their own game. The only downside is as you get up in levels there aren't as many challenging opponents who can stealth.
