Your reasoning is okay, but really, only two of those games in your list will move a decent amount of systems, devil may cry and MGS. The other games really aren't games that make people go "WOW, i need to get ps3 for littlebigplanet."

GTAIV is there, but given the DLC exclusivity on 360, 360 will most definitely cut into sales of what was one of ps2's killer franchises.

your writeup is good, however i see a problem in the next year or so for the 360, there are not many games like halo 3, gears of war or any other big name franchise for the next year. (same for wii, with the exception of brawl)
The ps3 however, has a lot of it's big guns lined up for the next year though. So couple that with a $299 price, and the results could be...surprising.

Yes, sony keeps on saying things are going to get better, there are actually really good games coming out, but in the meantime, no one wants a big black box sitting in their living rooms gathering dust. PS3 should have had much stronger release titles, but right now, they're in a lull. Until those "killer apps" come out, we will continue to see less than great sales
