Bethesda on DLC: Keep it small, 'digestible'

Apr 11th 2009 10:10AM (Joystiq)
Then you should try what I'm doing. Right now, I'm just in waiting mode until the final DLC is released (Broken Steel). Then download all three. It costs about as much as an expansion pack, and it should add about as much content as an expansion pack (7-10 hours, level expansions, new baddies, new items).

Fallout 3 dominates MI6 marketing awards

I don't know but for some reason I feel like going out and getting a second and third copy...

Here come the new iPod shuffle accessories

Mar 16th 2009 12:05AM (TUAW.com)
To a certain extent, the previous shuffle was good for what it did. This is just ridiculous though. I love my Ipod touch and love all the things it does. For the shuffle, I think only minor changes in design to designate change while increasing memory and battery life. Maybe even adding a small pager like screen on it while keeping it pack of gum size.

There are lots of things to do. But this stinks to a large degree since Apple is charging all 3rd party designs for a licensing fee. All that does is make a $80 mp3 player go up to $120+ when all is said and done.

SXSW 2009: Indie meets arcade in Get Outta My Face

Mar 15th 2009 11:36PM (Joystiq)
Tried it, the controls stunk, and the ability to get far was frustrating. Not only do you have to avoid blocks, but the balls shot out of the cannon stayed in play and hurt you if you touched them. Kinda not fun.

Company plans to sue Blizzard over virtual world patent

I was thinking the exact same thing but with Ultima Online, which came out in 97 as well.

Sony and Nintendo sued for wireless tech

Feb 24th 2009 6:35PM (Joystiq)
Oh, and Googling Wall Wireless leads to a a home page that is blank, and info that they are suing Nokia for allowing Texts with images and sound. Also, this has been filed in East Texas, which I hope will be moved using the recent TS Tech change of venue ruling. Nintendo and Sony can say that it will be cheaper to hear the case in California.

Sony and Nintendo sued for wireless tech

Feb 24th 2009 6:24PM (Joystiq)
I read the patent. I'll comment. You are a retard. There, I said it. I'm not going to create a free account to see the schematics, but several times they make reference to a cell phone shaped object.

As for the application, Many of the things that it does, including feedback and measurement Nintendo and Sony have already been sued over. As far as I can tell, other than being an object that interacts with something on screen (which I've already said they have been sued over) the only thing that I can guess would be infringement is the fact that Nintendo's control makes a sound.

The problem is, as I have said several times, there are multiple patents over this issue of a control that works wireless. The problem here is that only one person/company/organization should be able to sue. Instead it seems to me Nintendo (and to a lesser extent Sony and Microsoft) are being sued over the same things, just worded differently.

GTA IV's 'The Lost and Damned' soundtrack detailed

Feb 12th 2009 2:00PM (Joystiq)
I was a little dissapointed with the alt rock and non heavy metal rock that was available in the game. I'm sorry, but so much of the stuff on Broker, and especially Liberty Rock Radio wasn't rock. So much of the music featured synthesizers and no guitar (or hidden guitar). It was a severe dissapointment (Especially Liberty Rock Radio). I can give Broker a pass for going the route of tech-alternative. But you can't have 3 rock songs on a pop station and call it Liberty Rock Radio.

I'm just hoping for a little more rock and a little less synthesizer is all.

Rumorang: More Mass Effect DLC on the way

Not until next year. But some decent DLC would certainly help to pass the time.
