Phase 1: Buy an exercise machine (elliptical, treadmill, etc) and stick it in front of your TV. Phase 2: ??? Phase 3: Lose weight!
Although, be mindful of what games you choose to play if you go with a treadmill. You might not realize how much physical reaction you have while gaming until you're trying to walk at the same time - I learned that the hard way, with Final Fantasy XIII oddly enough. I always tend to drift left/right when turning the camera.
As someone who gets extremely uncomfortable watching anything remotely cheesy (that doesn't have joking audio commentary), I will say that this is as far from cheesy as a live-action rendition of a video game can get.

Never? Really? In-game tutorials have been around since before the 3D era, and they have only gotten better and more contextualized. Good riddance I say.
The first time I beat Earthbound, I had rented it and got to where you play as Poo (snrk) before it was time to return it. About a month later I rented it again from the same store, and my save was still there, untouched.
