Quantum Conundrum gets an extra Q
Apr 4th 2012 4:27PM (Joystiq)Who knows, but I'm not complaining. Q and Discord are some of my favorite characters from their respective works, and I credit de Lancie for that quite a bit.
Gearbox boss says impressive Wii U 'a really nice bridge' to the next generation
Apr 4th 2012 2:23PM (Joystiq)I wouldn't say ""real" next generation", since they'll all be next-generation consoles and none will be coming from the imaginary realm, but otherwise, yeah, pretty much. It's fairly consistent with everything we've heard so far; it's more powerful than current generation, but MS and Sony are likely to have more powerful consoles even still. By what margin is still a wild card, however.
Gearbox boss says impressive Wii U 'a really nice bridge' to the next generation
Apr 4th 2012 2:06PM (Joystiq)Generations of hardware are not dictated by the capabilities of the hardware so much as what time period they released in.
The Wii is still considered current-generation, despite not being much more powerful than last generation's hardware. The Wii U will be the same, even if the other consoles are ultimately more powerful.
Gearbox boss says impressive Wii U 'a really nice bridge' to the next generation
Apr 4th 2012 1:32PM (Joystiq)With all due respect, I'm not quite as inclined to believe "anonymous" sources whose opinions fly in the face of every other opinion publicly stated, both by other anons and people unafraid to show their names.
It will be at LEAST as powerful as PS3 and 360. There is just no way it will be LESS powerful than them. It will probably NOT be as powerful as the next generation Xbox and PlayStation, but by just how much is yet to be apparent, and probably won't be known until all three consoles are released.

NintendoWare Weekly: Mutant Mudds demo
Mar 30th 2012 10:03AM (Joystiq)It's mostly the new campaign I was getting at, yeah. Otherwise I tend to do all my Doom-ing on the PC, too, because with an endless number of WADs I could feasibly never have to play the same levels twice.
But having a control scheme on a console that isn't relatively unintuitive to me helps considerably, too; I've tried the PS1/Saturn versions of Doom (Japanese in the case of Saturn), and it's still rather difficult to wrap my head around the tank controls. True, Doom was designed for this, even on the PC, but WASD+mouse or double analogs is much more straightforward.
