I love Wipeout, makes me wish Nintendo would commission another F-Zero

Uncharted: Golden Abyss preview: Drake me out to the small game

I don' t want to be THAT guy, but I will.

While I'm glad that the NGP is getting these big titles that will appeal to a lot of gamers, the Uncharted series to me never really hit the spot.

Sure, it looks good and is presented fantastically, but I think the game play is severely lacking. The platforming is pretty on-rails, lacks puzzles of any sort (platforming or otherwise) and the combat is sub-par.

Analyst ponders impact of MW2 'Stimulus Package' pricing and success

Apr 21st 2010 6:35PM (Joystiq)
Or perhaps that the MW variety pack was under priced? DLC is a relatively new venture and it is reasonable to believe that everything in the last few years has been pretty experimental. Halo's DLC has been pretty dirt cheap, but does that mean its at a healthy price? Not necessarily.

Being used to cheap prices and when it goes up, public outcry is expected. Then rationality comes into play for those who put thought into it. They tested waters with low prices, now they're testing waters with slightly higher prices. People act like they're charging outlandish sums, but they're essentially delivering a mini-expansion pack at a fraction of the cost.

Like gas prices, people just don't like paying for more. end of story. Doesn't mean they're doing anything crazy though.

Analyst ponders impact of MW2 'Stimulus Package' pricing and success

It isn't expensive when you consider the value in them.

If you buy the Stimulus Package, odds are you're going to be putting quite a few hours into them over the next few months from release. On a conservative side, let's say you play about 15 hours worth in a 3 month period, you got a dollar an hour per entertainment.

If you are like me, and played them much more than that (already), you're getting it cheaper than any other form of entertainment other than public radio or basic television (or enjoying the outdoors!). Once I am done with MW2, this map pack probably costs me next to nothing if I consider how much time I've put into them.

I break down pretty much anything I spend money on based on its value, with entertainment I look at the price tag for how long its going to provide something to me. So maybe this is why I know that 15 isn't expensive.

If you don't think you're going to put much time into the maps, then you don't really even need to buy it and shouldn't be complaining. Besides, 15 dollars isn't much unless you are in dire financial situations. Even then, its still a good buy because its REALLY CHEAP ENTERTAINMENT.
