I'm still waiting for a price drop (and less reports on dying 360s) before I jump in. Not to mention a few games that will really make me want to own it. I already do, but I'm just waiting for the price to be right.
The resolution and sharpness of the image itself seems nice enough but... that blue-green tint is making me weary of how well it can actually take photos.
Not the best image to leak, one can only hope Apple will debunk the picture, cuz that's quite ugly (and the model itself).
I was gonna go with the option of "I'll buy a non-1337 360" but choose the Wii instead. At least till the games I'm dying for on the 360 are out, and more money is earned to purchase them.
Actualy Mory, Retro's a second party. 1st party is only directly inside of Nintendo, 2nd parties are owned by Nintendo (like Rare was to Nintendo and now is to MS). Then there's 3rd parties which are either exclusive (Factor 5) or global (Capcom, Konami).
Having the xenosaga games would be cool, but I really do hope they pump out some original titles instead, and this gives me hope for Disaster.
Actually it seems more of a matter of some people getting to the sweet spot and others not getting it.
In short, most of the times it's YOUR fault, but most people would rather blame anything but themselves.
Fact of the matter is, no matter how advanced the technology is, the games are programmed for people to do things a certain way, and sometimes these people are just not doing what the programmers expected (who knows if kinks will be worked out 100% because of this human error, but hopeuflly the gripes will become less frequent).
It would only be a dealbreaker if you had to swap discs whenever you moved from place to place. A singleplayer & separate multiplayer+co-op disc would be fine (heck, you could boot up what you want faster because the interface might be cleaned up to better reflect the options available).
I don't think there'll be too much of a problem, besides, can't they use procedural texturing to cut down on size or would that be too taxing on the machine? I would imagine not, especially with 3 cores.
