Looks awesome. I'm really excited about the character creation, I hope you really can see and feel the decisions made at the beginning impact your game, as they say you will. Wish I would have gone to PAX!
In all fairness, I was never going to buy a Mickey Mouse game anyway.. but this is kind of laughably stupid. If his image is too precious to allow him to look mean, why give players the freedom to choose bad actions?
Could this result in.. players that aren't uber competitive and mostly enjoy playing with friends getting the chance to really enjoy BGs.. AND perhaps BGs being doable as a tournament format? I think both could be good.
I liked what I saw of the characters. I like cartoony style to a point, and from the brief voiceovers in the trailer, it looks like Monkey won't be annoyingly stupid and Trip won't be annoyingly whiny.
Although i still prefer reading actual books, if I was still doing a lot of traveling I'd actually buy this. Anything I absolutely loved that I don't already own, I'd have to buy an actual copy of though. The selection is pretty good, lots of books that I consider influential, but also quite a few that I haven't already heard the whole story secondhand.
Chrono Cross is a badass game! Probably in my top five of all time. And it does have particularly nice music. I used to intentionally let it sit on the menu screen sometimes so i could fall asleep to the music.
So maybe it isn't technically very protective, but I really like the look of it and the detail variation in the designs. I suppose an archer wouldn't really need extremely protective armor, but I'm assuming a warrior would be glad to have some. Although not every culture's warriors have worn much to fight.
I don't personally have a problem with "unrealistic" armor sets in fantasy games, its fantasy after all. I just find it slightly irksome if they don't make any effort at all to coordinate what the armor suppose ably does to what it looks like. C'mon people, have the courage to just come right out and tell us that that cleavage is in fact protected- by magic.
