Google and Apple talking video?
Sep 18th 2006 2:53PM (Engadget)Apple really missed a great opportunity when they could've included video streaming and recording feature onto the Mac Mini platform. The iTv just seems extraneous equipment from a minimalist company.
Hands-on with the 5.5G iPod
Sep 12th 2006 5:07PM (Engadget)There is no setting to disable this feature, since it doesn't crossfade tracks. Whew! :)
Hands-on with the 2G iPod nano rainbow
Sep 12th 2006 4:04PM (Engadget)Hands-on with the 2G iPod nano rainbow
Sep 12th 2006 4:00PM (Engadget)Apple has a knack for the small details.
Otherwise what a let down... I guess the real vPod isn't ready yet. :(
iTunes 7 with iTunes Movie Store announced!
Sep 12th 2006 3:41PM (Engadget)HELP -> CHECK FOR UPDATES
If you see the album cover several times, you may need to streamline your tags or sort by album.
Apple iTunes Store is down. For now.
Sep 12th 2006 11:30AM (Engadget)Think Secret's skinny for Apple's September 12th event
Sep 4th 2006 12:48PM (Engadget)Wait a minute, is Apple considering a half-baked transitional device, just to compete with the Zune? The video store shouldn't be announced until Apple has a full-screen iPod out the gates, and that means an "updated 5G iPod" will not cut it. Apple must be kidding me.
I only see the new Nanos and iMac being released on Sept. 12. That is of course, unless they can ship the ever-expected new iPod with touchscreen UI. Otherwise, another set of blanks, like the iPod Hi-Fi announcement...
Hands-on with the Sony Mylo
Sep 1st 2006 9:23PM (Engadget)Are these the PS3 and Wii demo kiosks?
Sep 1st 2006 6:15AM (Engadget)I like how the Wii kiosk's LCD is very well placed at a person's regular field of vision. Very enveloping, especially for exploiting the new UI.
The PS3 on the other hand has an intricate, hierarchical and awkward design, that will make people hesitate to wip out $500~$600 + tax.
Folks, this is where the PS3 will lose the war...
Prediction: Nintendo wins this generation's Video Game Console War.
Apple fires retail employees for downloading Leopard
Aug 23rd 2006 4:41AM (Engadget)It's also surprising to see how speculation and allegations turn into firing rushes for damages that were never inflicted to the store, or the company for that matter.
Apple store management is a bunch of superficial, pompous aholes. They think they're so hot, that claim it's easier to make into CalTech, than to land a job with their fascist company.
I would question Apple's rights to invade people's right to privacy.
This time around, I would enjoy to see Apple sued by these people, that were simply curious and sought to grip an understanding of the company's next-generation product.
