iPhone 4 proximity sensor fix in the works

Jul 16th 2010 1:53PM (Engadget)
@hstewart Yeah, i thought it might be just an unlisted fix. Apple is known to do that. But so far, today, the screen has not turned on during any of my calls. Usually 2 out of 3 calls had the screen turning on. This problem was far bigger to me than the antenna thing, which I dont have an issue with (my phone is in an ifrogz case, so maybe that's why).

Apple to give away free cases to iPhone 4 users

@Benjamin09 Well, they could do what Palm did, and just release a new model and tell you "the new one does not have this problem, buy this".

My Palm Treo 600w kept crashing because they had not put nearly enough memory in it to run both WinMo and an app at the same time. Their solution for me was to purchase the 650w with more memory, which came out a few months later.

@wakeup Dude, we get it, you love android and think the iphone sucks. You go into every apple thread to remind everyone of that.

@Evan Yes indeed. Math fail. I was holding my iPhone 4 in my left hand when I ran the calculator app. Sorry.

@LordCookies You make a good point.Let's see..

452 / 231,564 = %0.0019
