Full version of Gears of War leaked? [update 1]

Oct 1st 2006 1:41PM (Joystiq)
Hey Kevin, I'd be patient if I wasn't on my second broken 360. The day I'll have to pay for repairs will be the day I'll stop paying for 360 games and start pirating them. I've never pirated games, but it seems that Microsoft will be "forcing" you to do it when they start charging for repairs on their crappy console. After all, if they charge me for something that I shouldn't pay and that shouldn't be happening in the first place, I'll hit them where it'll hurt them the most: I'll buy the games for 5-10 bucks each. LOL

I'm not going to do the same for Wii and PS3 if they have much greater quality, just like the cube and PS2.

Finally an FPS! Just what I needed on 360. I'm sick of RPGs, too many since it launched.

Bioshocking PS3 news

Sep 28th 2006 11:24PM (Joystiq Playstation)
That's right Adam, and X360 fanboys made fun of how PS3 wasn't getting Enchanted Arms, nor Oblivion, nor Ninja Gaiden (that one's classic), let alone games that would fit on a DVD9, that Virtua Fighter and Tekken would see the light on 360, games costing up to 100 dollars, PS3 online costing the same as LIVE, and so on. Interesting to read your spin on the facts though.

OH, and ed, come on. You write for 360 fanboy (and doing so without owning a 360 by now wouldn't be very professional, would it?), so why would you mind about it not coming to PS3? Besides, I'll trade Bioshock for White Knight Story any day.

Sony goes PS3 kiosk crazy

Ritchie:

The expected Rate of Return from that huge marketing move is probably bigger than the Rate of Return of sacrificing 15,000 individual sales. I thought it would be simple.

No console at launch has needed good games. And PS3 is no exception. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the Wii *needs* the good games at launch to counter the fact that it is old technology being sold more expensive than any other Nintendo console before it.

By the time a PS3 is available, there will be plenty of games. And by the way, prove us that launch titles such as Resistance are crap, since you probably have played it.

Oh fuck. The time I wrote this there were no comments from dipshits that apparently have more business sense (in their own view) than individuals working at Sony. Hey Sony, you can stop doing your Job and come listen to random Microsoft or Sony fanboys for an advice on how your employees should run you.

To make people drool at how they'll never get a chance to see anything PS3 related on their Xbox 360 or Wii unless they upgrade to next-gen. :)

This isn't that bad. Considering the launch will have too few consoles, at least many people will have the pleasure to mouth-water until it is widely available (or until they can afford it). What better publicity for Blu-ray, PS3 and videogames in general?

Mysterious PS3 launch title is Oblivion

Sep 27th 2006 8:37PM (Joystiq)
Ethan, I don't think they are going to multiply the content that much, considering it would be too expensive for a PS3 launch title; especially since this game is relatively old and pretty much everyone that considered this a *must have* already has it. If they added that much content, then they might as well should have changed the name of the game, or made a new one.

If this game does reach 20 GB (which is highly doubtful), Sony fanboys should be worried, because it would most likely mean that everything on 360 was compressed, and on PS3, it is not, which would open pandora's box again of *cough* microsoft's*cough* FUD against Blu-ray (I doubt the added content is bigger than the whole Oblivion for 360). Unless of course, they add cut-scenes and things that just didn't originally fit on a 360DVD9 ;)

Then again, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing... after all, not having everything compressed would be a huge load off the Cell.

Why would anyone want this game now? Why would sony fans be "glad" about this? Bethesda "cancelled" this game long ago, making it a "360 exclusive" (for consoles) for a while. Even if it was going to be a 360 exclusive for a while given PS3's launch date, since people thought it was going to be *Exclusively* on 360, a lot of people bought a 360 just for this game... most people that wanted this game already got it anyway (and still, why should anyone get the 360 or PS3 version if the PC version is half the price, and perhaps superior (even to the PS3 version).

Way to have leverage in the "console wars" by being fake. Business, schmusiness; it's more business to go multi-platform officially instead of being officially "oops... it was multi-platform; sorry". Not to mention all those poor 360 owners (such as myself) that will miss PS3's exclusives (well, I won't, but a lot of people will) for a game that was once touted as a "console seller".

Bethesda is being directed by morons, and for that (ok, and for spite) I hope the PS3 version doesn't sell compared to the rest of PS3 games.

Will SEGA allow PS3 gamers to download their library?

SEGA loves Sony (and Money), so they might...

Gears of War MIA, Japanese consumers for 360 also MIA

Sep 25th 2006 1:04PM (Joystiq Playstation)
"Of course, it didn't move any 360s because it was the worst selling game in its own turf, and in Japan nobody wanted a 360 regardless of its "great" (not) games."

Edit: When I meant "worst selling game in its own turf", I meant worst selling game in its (360's) own turf, not Ridge Racer's own turf since it is a japanese game.
