@eat it If walking to work was anything like Journey, I'd walk to work every single day.

I came for a Rage mod, thinking it was like 28 days later. I then watched this clip, and was pleasantly surprised.

Ubisoft hopes to negate the need for DRM with support and content

Mar 26th 2012 1:40PM (Joystiq)
I was all set to buy Driver: SF on the PC until I heard about the DRM, so I decided to wait for it to go on sale super cheap. DRM just means I will not ever pay full price for that game. Since it hasn't been on a really good sale at a price cheap enough that I could deal with the DRM, I have yet to buy it.

So instead, I rented it on console and played through it. Now I don't have to buy it at all, ever. Thanks Ubisoft!

Sony VP in UK and Ireland talks Vita pricing, says bigger memory cards on the way

Feb 23rd 2012 3:08AM (Joystiq)
I can deal with it for a while... but not very long.

The Vita is a brand new system, so I understand it's a bit limited and will grow later on, but at present it's a bit lacking. File transfer from PC to Vita is overseen by some content manager and you have no drag-and-drop at all anymore. Transfers are also hideously slow, but I'm not sure, could be my system. Video file compatibility is pretty small at present. Videos that play on the PS3 won't necessarily play on the Vita. Even the 1080p trailers I downloaded off the PSN store won't copy over and won't play. I'm hoping I don't have to specifically re-encode things to a vita-specific format.

Music at least is pretty hard to mess up, .mp3 files transfer as expected. Considering that the image viewer/mp3/and video parts are pretty basic right now, having 32GB of content on hand isn't as huge an issue.

Games, however.... yeah. If you want to push digital downloads, you better get high capacity cards at a low price.

PS3 video-editing app PlayMemories Studio potentially leaked ahead of CES

This plus game video capture on the PS4 would be nice. I just hope they have plugins for extra features and transition effects and new templates that users can create, otherwise we will see a godzillion youtube clips of gameplay all edited identically.

Sorry things didn't work out. I just hope he keeps making great games wherever he decides to go, and that I own the hardware to play them.
