Xbox 360 will not sell in china for the following reasons.

For the price of a xbox 360 premium + (400 usd) = 3200 RMB, you can get 2 modded ps2s and 50 games to boot. I live in shanghai and it's probably has the highest paying level in terms of salary, for average white-collar worker working for forign company, i think it's average salary is around 9000 RMB a month, there is no way in hell anyone would spend 1/3 of salary before tax on a game system...

The people in China doesn't hate japanese product either, if you watch the tv here, there is 24/7 cartoon channel full of japanese anime shows and tons of anime magzine/manga in the mainstream. Walk into any cd/dvd shop you will see seperate section dedicated to japan/korea drama as well as music cds and they seems to sell pretty well.

Also your info about china buy boeing doesn't really help either since they are also schedule to order huge fleet of Airbus as well.
