The new Crush 40 cover of Sonic Boom sounds horribly awesome.

Nintendoware Weekly: Metroid II: Return of Samus

@TRONdll

I'm pretty sure all the Super Gameboy could detect all of the Nintendo-published Gameboy games that had been released up to that point, and each game had a specific one of the default color schemes automatically applied when it booted up. Metroid 2 was interesting because of the Gameboy games that didn't have built-in Super Gameboy enhancement, it was easily the best-looking in color, but the pre-assigned palette for it pretty much looked terrible with every other game. (It was probably put in there just for Metroid 2.)

King of Fighters XIII review: Sweep the leg

Nov 24th 2011 11:15AM (Joystiq)
King of Fighters has always had great music. The reviewer's surprise at the quality of KOF 13's awesome soundtrack makes me question whether he was qualified to write this review.

I also didn't like the indie rock comparison; KOF fans are about as far from the type of people who ironically like uncool things as you can get. KOF fans just sincerely love arcade-quality 2D games; we don't take pride in playing something that isn't mainstream, we're baffled why all the other game companies get away with going the cheap route using polygons or vectors while only a handful of companies like SNK are still willing to spend the money it takes to make real 2D art like everybody used to.

Game Critics Awards nominate best of E3 2011, Infinite and Uncharted 3 lead the pack

KOF XIII was easily the most exciting announcement of the show for me, and they didn't even include it as a nominee for best fighting game!?!

Fils-Aime: Consumers' two biggest problems with the 3DS have been fixed

If they realized fans wanted first-party Nintendo games, why did they outsource Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, Mario Kart 3D, and Luigi's Mansion?

As far as I know, the only new Nintendo games made in-house to be released in the last year were casual games like Nintendogs + Cats and the second DS Fire Emblem which they'll never translate.

Magical Drop V preview: The ghost of Data East

HOLY MUFFIN BALLS! This is two great surprises wrapped together; easily one of the best announcements of E3! I'd love a Magical Drop sequel, and it is wonderful that someone besides the g-mode webmaster remembers Ghostlop.

I need to be sure not to get too excited since I haven't played any of Golgoth's games. It's a little weird for a French developer to make a sequel to such a Japanese series. I'd rather hear this was being made by a team I trust like M2, but at least it isn't being made by Backbone!

Does it have the Unibios? All serious gamers need a consolized MVS with the Unibios.
