On an "Avg" day video games at walmart and gamestop are at the same price new. And what you see on tge shelf at gamestop is not their actual stock level, 90% of thier inventory is not on display only at least 1-2 copies of a title and the rest is secured. And yes for every wal mart there is at least 2 gamestops within 5 minutes. Hmmm I wonder why, and if walmart is such a better deal and has more product what magick is gamestop using to stay in business in the back yard of such a powerful competitor. Am I saying one is better than the other, no. all I was stating was why and how gs justfies theyre ad, go shop where you want. but stop trolling at this point everyone knows gs is the big bad video game meanie...

Previous poster said it best A) Gamestop will have the lions share of pure game shoppers and B) gamestops avg stores product levels are 3x deeper that avg retailers and 2x that of walmart. So the real advantage is once everyone else sells out of the deep discounted items in 30 minutes to an hour GS still has stock at a discounted price. Plus no matter what with their preowned depth B2G1 is a huge draw. And really they only run that about 4x a year.

Because there isnt one.most " pure gamers" just have this need to bitch and be elitest. A product no matter the form is a product once purchased it can be sold and resold, but here is one argument...used game sales just like homes & cars, have kept the industry a float. Video games more than most industries have increadible swings based off of economy, saturation and ect. On those many down swings its the pre owned market that keeps driving revenue. As much as it is the supposed bad guy look at gamestop, its been around through EVERY cycle that the game market has crashed....now the are the worlds largest retailer and EVERY major console developer and publishers largest customer/partner in most cases. @Hank Hill sarcasm aside, with GI's current subscription rate (only thing higher is AARP thanx to everyone that has a GameStop Pro rewards card) I doubt this makes a dent even if free which is unikely considering its walmart

The company makes BILLIONS, a little slower for the dumb dumbs, B I L L I O N S, year over year, are the worlds largest video game retailer, are every single console and publishers largest customer. Has digital sales increasing 40-60% year over year. Now, I know, its the cool thong to hate on them, and theyre the big baddie whos doing everything wrong, to say theyre core business is dying is just dumb.

Yes your wallet doesnt count, 1000 wallets dont count, on average a AAA game sells minimun 100,000 copies first week, so the only way you can affect their decision o f the bonus is to call up at least 25000 of your closest friends and get them to not buy it new, ever...
