Torchlight 2 officially delayed, Runic prez suggests other games to play
Nov 17th 2011 5:36PM (Joystiq)Oh, I'm not debating that it will be an unqualified success.
It most certainly will, but they're burning a pile of cash if they don't capitalize on the rabid frothing desire there is for Diablo III right at this moment in time.

Nov 17th 2011 2:57PM (Joystiq)If they were hoping for a huge release, their only chance was to ride the coattails of anticipation for Diablo ]I[.
If TL2 isn't on the digital shelves by the time D3 has a confirmed release date, a large chunk of potential revenue will have just evaporated.

Nov 2nd 2011 7:49PM (WoW)As for the extended ASCII versions being more popular than the originals? As Mike stated, they're all max-level. Bastards (like myself) sit on the originals and never level them (unlike me). I have a strict no-ASCII policy on my toons. If what i want is taken, I grab something else.

To this day, the most clever name in my experience was a gnome priest named 'Compactdisc'.
(P.s.: If this is a repost, I apologize. It looked like the comments system ate my post, and it still wasn't here an hour later, so I reposted.)

Oct 26th 2011 12:58PM (Joystiq)DRM is necessary.
Most DRM is like the checkout lane at a grocery. Slow, obnoxious and rather cumbersome (unless you're talking about Ubisoft's, then you're standing in line with a cop in riot gear pointing a rifle at your face).
Steam's take on DRM is about as unobtrusive as it can get whilst still providing a modicum of security for the developers.
I'm sorry you're yet another GenZer who believes they have the right to take anything at any point because the world is beholden to you.
I have Steam on my laptop, I am rarely connected when outside the house, and I have absolutely no issues accessing my games.
