Sony targets Xbox Live with questionnaire

Jan 19th 2006 1:47PM (Joystiq)
I don't it would be a stretch at all for Sony to release a online version similar to Xbox Live. Its much easier to do once you have a blueprint already in place. They can follow Microsoft's lead.

One more thing, Sony already has exprince with Everquest. Doesn't that count as something? I'm personally not into online gaming. I prefer single player games so the PS3 having this isn't a make or break deal for me. But, I do enjoy reading about the fanboys fighting other over which console is better. I can't wait to see the areguments people have over which console has the best online exprince.

Sony targets Xbox Live with questionnaire

I miss the good ole days when you bought a video game console to play games. I could care less about online voice chat, video, streaming media, web browser, trailer downloads, gamer rankings, etc. Just give me a console that can play fun games. All the rest is bloatware. If I want any of that additional baggage I'll go turn on my PC.

Now I know why I seem to enjoy handheld gaming more. I can just enjoy the simple and fun games.

PlayStation 3 pr0n, nothing of substance

Jan 10th 2006 10:32AM (Joystiq)
It amazes me that people actually are this hardcore about getting console information. Who the hells cares about the rumors and hype. I don't care what so called experts know or think. I can glady wait for an official announcement from Sony. I'm in no rush. I still have a ton of PS2 games and Nintendo DS games to play. I'm in no rush for next gen gaming.

I've owned a PSone and PS2. I've greatly enjoyed both systems and don't have any complaints about them. They provided everything I needed. I grew up with Nintendo, but I later became a Playstation gamer because of the variety of games their systems have to offer. I can wait to hear Sony's official announcement of the PS3. If it sounds like a system I want I'll go and buy it. If not then I'll wait to hear with the Nintendo Revolution can do. Its that simple. I for one do not care about all the hype, rumors, supposed specifications, and name calling. I have to a life to live. I am actually leaning towards the Revolution since I like the low console price. Thats mighty tempting to me. Low price and game selection are two features more important to me that super, duper, photo realistic graphics.

I'm no expert when it comes to video console histories since I've never really cared that much. I've been to busy playing the games. But correct me if I'm wrong here. Didn't' Sony do a surprise announcement for the original Playstation at E3? I think I remember reading how Sony shocked Sega and everybody else with the Playstation announcement at E3. We could be in for the same thing. These are big corporations. This could all just be part of the hype machine to shock and awe us.
