People will vote for what's trending at the moment. EA's statement is apt. There are much worse companies that should have actually been on that list, but its typical for first world people to not be aware of who the real bad people are.

Sometimes jobs are legitimately cut because they are unnecessary. Who knows how many unprofitable stores Game kept open just to establish brand recognition and stifle competition. In the long run this will hurt the company more than it helps.

Buying a failing company is better than starting a new one I guess. However, based on the reputation Game has they would probably have to rebrand the company anyways.

Okay, this one wins April Fools 2012. I'm done for the day.

I can kinda see this as a win-win. EA can sell more copies of FIFA 12, and customers don't have to buy a new game to play UEFA. If you want to play UEFA and don't already own FIFA 12, then I am not sure of your interest in soccer (football) games anyways.

I miss Grandia a lot. The battle system is so unique and to me is a near perfect mix of active and turn based battle.

The last boss of Grandia 2 is something I don't even remember. It must have been very uneventful for me cause I don't remember having that much trouble.
