Just a tip: The app DOES quit giving you directions once you reach your destination, but only if you EXACTLY hit your destination. If you're off by even a tiny bit, it will keep routing you forever and ever, draining your battery while in your pocket. I wish the app would be a bit more generous with predicting when you arrive, but, alas, it is not.
If it doesn't pick up on your arrival, you can go to Route Options --> Clear Route to turn off the inevitable battery drain. I wish this option didn't take three taps (wish it was on the main screen or only one option deep) but it does the trick. I got into the habit of simply doing this every time I arrive at my destination before I pull my phone off the cradle.
Sad that you can't stream from the iPad/iPhone to multiple places (only one at a time). I have my house full of AirPort Expresses for multi-room audio, so I was hoping to be able to stream Pandora to these multiple devices using my phone as the "hub." Sadly, this is a no-go. Guess I'll stick with AirFoil and the desktop version.
Wow! Just called and, sure enough, they're going to reimburse me for the cost of the replacement drive I bought at Frys.
For those who bought replacement drives but didn't save the receipt, you may still be able to get a replacement drive. They asked me specifically whether I wanted to get a replacement part or be reimbursed.
Yeah... ummm...... like what the other people said. This only "kinda-sorta" worked. I now have a music folder... but I also have hundreds remaining artist folders, too, and they are still full of MP3s and music. Didn't really hut anything, but didn't help much, either...
I can't believe, in 5 pages of comments, this hasn't been mentioned:
I bought it for the "promise" of renting HD movies instead of purchasing. I paid the price of entry thinking I'd save money in the long-run.
There's only one little problem: Most blockbuster movies are released on Apple TV 30+ days AFTER the discs (DVD, Blu-Ray) are available. That's just plain AWFUL.
The whole idea to me was to rent new releases without having to visit the store or wait for Netflix discs to arrive in the mail. In this sense, the device is a gigantic FAILURE, and makes me optimistic for the evolution of better, cheaper streaming services (read: Netflix streaming to Xbox, etc.).
I like this app a ton because you just have to "look at" the item in you want to copy within Snippets and it automatically adds it to the clipboard, which saves a step.
I would break open the battery and, using some spare wire and paperclips I found on the floor, electrocute the digital padlock to free myself from the makeshift cell. Then, using a broom, three hairs from my head, tomato paste, and a paint can, I'd assemble a plane to fly away from the island.
TomTom GPS app offers good maps, terrible interface
