This fix worked for me: Turn on your Xbox 360 and sign out of Xbox Live. Then recover your profile by signing back in via your Windows Live ID. That fixed my gamerscore on my 360. (Though It's still messed up on the Xbox Live website.)

Interestingly, my gamerscore wasn't the only thing affected by whatever's going on this morning. My avatar's glasses also disappeared. Strange things are afoot.

Is this thing supposedly for the PC or consoles?

Every Monday, I come to Joystiq to see if Super Punch-Out hits the Virtual Console. And every Monday I am disappointed.

Honestly, it's damn near unbelievable that 2K would try to slip this past widescreen gamers in 2007. It's totally unacceptable. I was on the fence about BioShock anyway, thanks to the wonky way the world doesn't reset when you die (making it more like an interactive story than an actual video game that challenges one's skills). But now with widescreen gamers being totally shat on, I think I'll bypass BioShock for Metroid Prime 3 (which, despite being a Wii title, actually -- gasps! -- supports widescreen TVs).

Well, if my wife wakes up at night and hears me downstairs screaming, "I'm gonna make you pay now, Big Daddy!" I might have some serious explainin' to do.

My favorite thing about "BioShock" is that I can scream, "Come and get some, Big Daddy!!!!" and totally freak my neighbors the hell out. That's always fun, you know?

Although I got the "order cancelled/here's five bucks" e-mail, Best Buy still has my pre-order as active. I'm not sure what to think about that.

I just got an e-mail from Best Buy. They admitted the mistake but told me my pre-order was cancelled. They also gave me a $5 digital coupon toward my next order with BestBuy.com. All that for five bucks?! Eh, I'll take it and put it toward Madden.

They didn't clearly state that the peripherals would come with the game? I don't think you can MORE clearly state that than by saying: "Included drum, guitar and microphone peripherals enable players to perform music together." I think some folks are grumpy they just missed out on the deal ... assuming it works. (Keeping fingers crossed.)

Yep, they're on their way toward denying us the $60 purchase. The current listing is the same SKU as the previous one, except now they're careful to point out on both the synopsis and product features page that the guitar, drums and mic are not included. I was hoping the previous SKU would end up being attached to the full set with peripherals included. I'm going to e-mail Best Buy today to see what they say.
