Best gaming moment... parents gave me a game boy when I was 8 on Christmas Morning. Just about broke my foot diving over the coffee table to hug my dad.

I completely agree. A classic example is a Gametrailers.com review vs. a X-play review. For starters, I've watched countless Gametrailers reviews and have yet to determine what exactly they mean by "Design" and "Gameplay". There reviews always feel sterile, and even good reviews do not encourage me to go out and check out the game. On the other hand, X-play reviews consider the game for the sum of its parts, not piece by piece. It is not uncommon to hear them say "It's just plain fun". And that is the key to gaming. As Justin Muffintops put it, it's all about motivation. Am I intigued enough by the story/gameplay/particle effects to keep playing level after level. If so, it's a worthy purchase. Mirror's Edge is just that.

I should be crucified for not reading every comment to see if this has already been said.

Large companies tend to do what makes the most business sense the majority of the time (not all the time i.e. Crystal Pepsi). If no one buys the DLC, EA will drop the price. However, I'll bet my horse armor the price doesn't drop and EA continues to pursue this model due to mouth breathers like me that want to see the shiny new flamethrower and can easily justify a dollar to do so.

Don't get me wrong, I love Halo, but they are going to have to add some legitimate new features for me to see this as more than just DLC.

Doesn't it seem like a long announcement lead time for a simple expansion? It seems like Bungie will have to work hard to keep the hype machine going for a year on this one.

It's not that this week was boring, it's just that I didn't laugh once. Seriously, Tortillo is not funny.

Am I the only one that feels like its Christmas every Monday when this Podcast comes out? That and I think Richard should facilitate some reconciliation between Zav/Alexander and Dustin. The tension between them is quickly moving towards awkward.
