Pushing Daisies: Bitter Sweets

Nov 29th 2007 10:30AM (AOL TV)
I feel the need to squash the speculation before it starts to run away.

In the introductory scene of the third episode it's shown that as he's reviving the peaches and tossing them to Chuck, the flower bed along a window sill is the (probably intended) victim. It's also been reiterated a couple times that trades are roughly equivalent. A dog for a squirrel, a bird for a bird, a plant for a plant, and a human for a human.

Far Cry H2O -- that's purdy water

Feb 16th 2006 1:37PM (Joystiq)
I know the popular thing to say right now is "it's all about the games," but I'll be the first (of many I'm sure) to admit that seeing things like this DOES excite me, despite whatever gameplay experience it's tagged onto.

Somehow I don't think I'm in the minority when getting jazzed about advances in seemingly small, but relatively impacting visual elements.

Of course it would be even better if the game was great too, but it's too separate variables. A bad game with this kind of water would be cooler than the same game without it.

Censorship at E3

Jan 23rd 2006 11:16AM (Joystiq)
I don't respect the idea of booth babes. Sure, I can see certain purposes at certain places, but not at video game trade shows. I suppose I'm in the minority on this.

When the industry can reach a point where there aren't booth babes, but there's a welcoming hug for adult games for adult audiences, then I'll respect it.

A controller improvement we'd like to see

Jan 18th 2006 11:17AM (Joystiq)
I agree with everyone else. Sure it would be nice, but for the most part a needless added expense. You open the door for a lot of "features" that "would be nice" when you start getting as picky as that.

Some of your reasons are well put Vladimir; maybe just placing articles in a better frame of reference would significantly reduce the amount of flack I usually see behind these things.

"We never thought that the PC would trump the game console for usability." You seriously can't believe that based upon the absence of a fingerprint scanner.. Again, it's not a matter of defending your opinion, it's about putting things in perspective for everyone.
