SSX soundtrack surprisingly doesn't feature The Avalanches

Feb 8th 2012 9:56PM (Joystiq)
This soundtrack is surprisingly legit. I'm so glad to find Quannum artists on so many different games this generation (and even featuring one artist, DJ Shadow, as a playable character with a dedicated soundtrack section.) Super super cool. Lateef is one of the most talented rappers there ever was, no doubt at all.

What? Game Music is Evolving!

Someone PLEASE lock Mr. Naganuma in a recording studio with the entirety of the BBC sound library available to him so he'll produce more music! The guy is a genius, consistently making my all-time favorite video game soundtracks (Jet Set Radio, Jet Set Radio Future, Sonic Rush, Ollie King, a track or two in Sega Rally and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz) but he hasn't produced a full soundtrack since Rush and I don't know why!

I am emailing him to push him to include a donation link on his page, as I am going to somehow and I'm sure others are compelled to as well.

@VolcomStone32x

You just made an elitist assertion and then people boo'd you for it. Is the fact that you are right somehow more likely the cause for your downvotes than the fact that you are actually just flagrantly wrong and people don't like when douchebags speak on their behalf?

I'm not going to be coy, but let's just say that there's an answer to that question and that only I know it.

Whose, not who's. You were almost a condescending prick - almost.

You really should have seen this amazing footage from The Avengers video game

Wow. Co-op, leveling, and violent FPS melee combat. Wow.

@eat it

I know I'm not the only one who played Saints Row 2 all the way through, twice, on co-op, for a collective 100 hours. I have no doubt in my mind it will be executed well.

Dead Island review: In need of brains

Sep 5th 2011 3:22AM (Joystiq)
I don't understand how it's the game's fault that the player feels compulsed to search every searchable container every time it replenishes itself with new stuff. You won't fail if you don't search that cash register again. You are free to not search it. Also, as far as the complaints levied against the disposability of the weapons - that's the point. Isn't that part of the appeal of Dead Rising? That you find awesome items but you make careful choices as to when to use them, due to their ephemerality? I hardly see the rarity of guns and the disposability of weapons as a problem. It's more an endemic issue of a zombie apocalypse, and therefore seems entirely welcome to me.
