You all know this isn't exactly the same technology Sony showed at E3 this year, right? When they were working on this stuff back with the PS2, they didn't have accelerometers in mind to track the orientation of the wand, just its position. It's essentially just an extension of the EyeToy's normal functions.
Nintendo's technology didn't rise from this stuff, Project Natal's did.
Yeah, I can't believe people are making such a big deal out of it. It's the equivalent of you handing the controller to your older brother and saying, "Please do this for me." And he goes through the hard part showing you exactly how it's done, then hands you the controller and says, "I won't save that though. Now you have to do it." So you have to do it, but after seeing it done the right way.
And you guys are acting like it's mandatory or something... As if you couldn't already go to Gamefaqs and have your games ruined for you.
So where were all the upset people when Capcom charged us to buy new Street Fighter costumes that were already finished and on the disc when it shipped? Nowhere, that's where. The costumes were done in the arcade phase and placed into the game you bought, but you have to pay money to access them (or to see them, play against somebody online who paid for them). Luckily the Street Fighter costumes do virtually nothing for you, I guess. No need to buy them at all.
Nobody said he didn't study into the character or watch the cutscenes. He's just not playing through the entire two games, which isn't absolutely necessary. The people who really should have played through the games are the writer and director. If they understand Max Payne well enough, they'll get what they need from Marky Mark.
Bah.... I find Leon neither effeminate or homosexual. He didn't do "overtime" with Ashley because he knew how taboo that would be. It's actually kind of ridiculous that these days any many that turns down sex is considered homosexual. And other people have already brought up the whole Ingrid deal.
I'm mostly just bothered that it's even suggested that he's effeminate. Sure, he's good looking, but he kicks butt and is tough, and his type of character is welcome when so many other companies are giving us Cloud, Vaan, and other dainty mascara-wearing men.
I'm convinced they merely shot a large white Lego base plate and carefully overlayed the properly-sized Mario animation on top of it. Why? Because it would be way easier and we don't see a change in height of the Legos. We also don't see the cracks in between them.
"Even if this were real, I don't think LEGO makes that many shades of brick to begin with."
They actually have lots of specialty lego colors you can order. I don't think these guys did, though.
I couldn't agree more. Scalping tickets to a concert is illegal. Why shouldn't scalping launch consoles be the same? I've heard of a person who got six PS3 preorders, all of them destined for eBay. How is that fair to other people? There were likely six people in his area that legitimately wanted to keep and play a PS3 and would have to go through him and his exhorbitant price to get it.
You can't justify cheating your fellow gamers by the flimsy argument that Sony or Nintendo made the price too high... that has nothing to do with it. The bottom line is that scalpers are taking advantage of demand and screwing people out of a fairly priced console.
PS3lvr - "If someone came to you and wanted to buy your car for 3 times its actual worth you would say 'no'?"
They NEVER would make that offer because they can get that same car from a dealer at its fair price. Not a valid example.
PS3lvr - "I didnt screw Europe, Sony did. They created this shortage and they could have killed this crazy pricing on eBay and every other auction site over producing instead of making too few."
You think Sony's gimping their stock on purpose? Let me tell you, Christmas is the BEST time to sell your console thanks to the gift-giving rush. Making too few consoles on purpose is the DUMBEST thing they could do. They'd just let Nintendo and Microsoft ramp up their install base. No, this isn't an artificial shortage. You're just using it to justify your greedy little scheme.
