i hope you guys realize that the namco system256 arcade board (which games like tekken 5, soul caliber 3 runs off) is based off PS2 hardware, right? also dubbed as tekken 5.1, it introduces 2 new characters, the addition of 2 older ones, new stages, and gameplay/balance tweaks. keep in mind this is NOT tekken 6, it is merely a HD port for the PS3. tekken 5 is one of the very few QUALITY fighters around for any console, but then some of you will just use this as another reason to bash the PS3, heh. if you're not into the tekken universe you probably won't think much of it. but if you are a tekken fan, then this should be very much welcomed. the word is jan 18th or 19th for the US!

there are a lot of hardcore fighting game fans out there, and why bother hunting for a PS3 if you already own a 360? (that or casually stroll to the store to get one.) VF5 is probably one of the few quality fighters out there that the PS3 needed. now if namco decides to follow and go multi-platform with tekken 6 & soul caliber 4, i wouldn't even consider buying a PS3 anymore. another bad move by sony, they should have done whatever it took to keep it exclusive.
