I confess to liking the funny button placement. Left-clicking was very natural to me, although right-clicking I would have to move my hand, which is also a good thing, since it would reduce accidental right-clicks. Either leave your thumb on the left button and move with the index, or if that is uncomfortable move with the middle and click with the index.

What is holding me back isn't the specs at all, it's the fact that even though I want one, I definitely don't need it.

Wildly inferior to what? Guitar Hero? Not even close, Rock Band is a far better game. Guitar Hero is good, but they cut corners a lot.

I've always wanted to do something like this on a road and drive over it with a car while someone in the passenger tries to play on a guitar controller.

Exactly right. Unfortunately, American Christianity has a very isolated and secluded culture. This is probably the most blatant example I've seen. If Christians only interact with other Christians, how do we show and tell about Christ's love with those who don't know Christ?

Also, I see the opposite as well. The problem I have with "neutral safe" bands you're talking about is that some aren't using their talents to praise God. That doesn't mean I have anything against secular music, most of my collection is, but are they living in the world by bending their message to do better in a secular industry? I'm just pointing out that it goes both ways. Outside the music industry, the example is that many Christians live in the world, not necessarily even "of" the world, but they aren't telling people about Christ's love.

Also, not condemning the game at all. It can be good for some people, but it does show how isolated Christian culture can be.

The only album I have of their's is Hot Fuss, but I have to say that it's very good besides Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me. Most of their fans love those songs, but I just don't enjoy them that much. All These Things That I've Done is my favorite. Forget the stuff that the radio plays, they have better music.

I'd like to see their songs in Rock Band or GH. One of my favorite bands. I have a Rock Band avatar of Wayne singing for my band, complete with stage blood on his face.

Not sure, but his attitude about GH and RB seems like they would be unlikely to license their music to the game. Not judging but I'm surprised at how commercial they're getting by doing the NBC thing though.
