Great article. I think variety in difficulty and length of quests works the best. Skyrim seems to have this to a degree as it has many tiny "go kill something or fetch something" quests but also some SUPERB story quests. One I recall as somewhat challenging but carrying a great story was the Forbidden Legend quest. For me this quest really set itself apart from the rest and felt as if they had some totally different writer working on this particular piece. It is so far one of the gems of RPG that I'll take with me after I'm finally done with Skyrim (whenever that is).

I agree, the GNR quest was one I also jumped into in Fallout3 and was quickly introduced to the dangers of the DC ruins.

wow looks amazing...but does feel alot like Monolith's Condemned of going from room to room...hopefully you see more than the creepy hospital in the game.
