Half of you people don't know what you're talking about. Iran had a democratically elected government which the US and UK intelligence agencies overthrew and put in place for 30 years a dictator, the shah. Then there was the revolution. Contrary to what the US media tries to tell you, Iran is a beautiful country and ks not a complete hellhole like they lead you to believe.

It doesn't matter how many iPhones there are, you're comparing percentages. Engadget needs to stop putting those one liners at the end of each article.

I just tried this on my Droid Eris. Couldn't replicate that no bar situation. I smell something rotten. In any case, even if the Eris has a spot like this, it's at the very top of the phone, where no one holds it.

I like apple products. I have an iPod touch an love but comparing the iPhone 4 issues to competitors seems really lowly to me.

I have a Droid Eris and I do not experience any of these problems. In fact I'm holding it in my left hand as I type this from the app.

@snowwy66 Verizon has been loosening up regarding phones. Just look at Android, I have WiFi and wired tethering, and I don't pay for it. And Skype. And free sms/phone calls with google voice. That alone is much better than they used to be.

I would've liked a Verizon iPhone. Then I got an android phone and have never looked back. I find WiFi tethering,gps, and sense interface to be phenomenal. And so far the app store has everything I need.

@phinn No not magic, its called rooting the phone. Froyo is essentially available on every rooted Android phone now, even the lowly Droid Eris has a ROM available
