I still think that project-offset's engine is the best. http://www.projectoffset.com . However, they might get butchered by Intel buying them out. Intel wants it to run on their new processor. Which might vary well destroy the game (Seeing how horrible intel drivers are (1 gig for wireless and 1 gig of memory for video tells me somethings wrong)).
Ethical Question: If one pre-orders Sims III and then downloads a pirated copy to play it before the release date, are they still pirates? I am wondering how many of these people are actually going to be legitimate owners of the game.
I agree. The DRM while bad, and keeping me from playing on my big screen television from lack of internet, doesn't effect this game too much. I bought it because of the hype, and have been pretty let down by the game play (the tribal phase takes 20min... seriously). I bought this game as a way to say go Will Wright, keep coming up with revolutionary things. He has given us the tools to quickly build creatures and whatnot. I think that deserves the respect.
While you don't believe in other people's religion, you should not push your own religion of atheism on others. First of all, this is neither the time nor place for a religious war. Secondly, morals are among the things brought with religion, and if more people believed in having to own up to their actions after they died, there would be less crime. That is why the United States' founding fathers embedded the freedom of religion in the constitution and the "In God we trust" phrase on the coinage. With over 90% of people believing in a higher being (probably most at that point), they knew that there would be some sense of accountability. Now, let's end this debate of religion and focus on the real miracle here of Spore finally going gold!
Which part... the fact that the console owners don't have to upgrade because they won't be able to play it at full quality, or that you will be able to stay in your world of primitive bliss while I rock this game out on my pc with my keyboard and mouse(the way shooters are meant to be played).
