I still wonder what Microsoft will do with the Gamescom Gamertags.

If you have a Gamertag, you could register at the booth and gain faster access to the ODST Firefight demo (which was excellent, by the way). But they entered every Gamertag in their system, so I wonder if they'll unlock some content ... maybe an ingame item or a Gamerpic or early access to the Reach demo.

Also, concerning Reach ... isn't Reach supposed to utilize Natal?

So, Apocalyptica is like what, the official soundtrack band for Bioshock 2?

If you guys see yourself as an international website, you shouldn't embed videos that can only be seen in the United States.

I can't understand why there still Wii shortages. Here in Germany, you can buy a Wii anywhere you want. I even recently saw some in a book store for sale. So why doesn't Nintendo turn the production of European Wiis down to satisfy the demand in the USA?

I loved the first game. Sure, it had its flaws, but I think they were explainable through the back story. Obvious and well known spoiler ahead:

Altair is only a memory visualized by a sophisticated computer program. All this repetition, all these harrassed people can easily be explained through this. They are merely metaphors for other events that happened...

Like, Altair saved a beggar from cruel soldiers once and the Animus displays this event as another harassed citizen. Or Altair broke into a house, sneaked into a room where two people discussed the guard locations, and the Animus renders this event as another eavesdropping mission. Same think with the abstract chase mechanisms of the Animus.

And this two layered narrative really got me. I loved playing a game in a game. And I loved the bits in between the story missions. I hope in the next game, you can explore the real world more freely.

What I really want for the original game, though, is a freeroam mode after completing the story, with random encounters. Just running and jumping through the cities was great. And with a free roam mode, I'd even try to collect the flags.

This is ridiculous. The US release of Rock Band 2 in the US is only a few months away. Looks like they have just found some countries to sell the old stuff.

And because RB2 will surely be as region locked as RB1, at least for the xbox, we cannot import the title here in Europe.

I agree. And I would very likely buy a PS3 as a media computer / BluRay player, if only it could play DivX or Xvid files from Samba network shares. Preferably in 1080p.
