Gears of War 3 'Forces of Nature' DLC emerges March 27

There goes my hope for the return of River & Ruins. I wanted Mansion back until I realized Hotel IS Mansion with the potential for less Sawed-Off deaths.

Mass Effect Liara figurine also includes Mass Effect 3 DLC [update]

@Lerkero

After playing the multiplayer demo, I'm 90% certain that all this "DLC" is just a free random box/extra credits. These are just extra perks when buying, no one should feel inclined to buy any of these items just because they come with "DLC".

"DLC" has become a general term for anything game related that involves buying/redeeming a code. People should just look at this as one of those "under-the-cap instant winner" promotions.

I'm sure their PR thinks being vague with the description of the DLC will result in more sales, but it's in fact the opposite. Their attempts at successful PR is only adding fuel to the "Bioware is now EA's cheap whore" fire.

True, true. If she can enjoy DAO, then I'm sure she can tolerate ME1's faults. When I read her comment, I was under the impression she meant DA2 (which is a lot more flashy and fast paced than ME1 or DAO).

YES!!!! Seeing Jacob, Samara, and Miranda in 1 sec of action has calmed my fears that the ME2 squadmates would get the ME2 Wrex treatment.

I have to disagree, I think that both voices fit their role perfectly. If you're playing as a MaleShep, you're looking for that classic male hero, he's not super emotional, he's usually steely, but he knows what to do when the situation calls for it. When you're playing a FemShep, you're looking to change it up, you don't want the "classic", you want someone who is emotional, you want to know her state of mind by the tone of her voice.

I never get the "I don't give a shit" from FemShep. Even her renegade feels like she is so mad, she is on the verge of insanity. I never get the "that hit so close to home" from MaleShep, he is either "Yes sir!" or "I don't mind watching you burn alive".

Neither is better or worse, 1 just feels more appealing to your take on who Shepard is to you.

You and Szimm make a point for people who would enjoy ME1 for what it can offer as a game itself. My problem with you saying all this is chances are, anyone who would be interested in what the ME series can offer as a whole, have already played ME1. The people who have watched the ME3 trailers and say "Ooo I wanna try this out" WILL NOT LIKE ME1.

Playing a ME1 completionist run (roughly 40hrs) now is just a huge waste of time. All you get to show for it, are a bunch of "Thank-you/remember me?" emails and news broadcasts (which they will probably walk past).

You are talking as a ME fan, not an impartial person recommending a video game.

@commonperson

As someone who has over 100 hrs logged in each ME, I have to disagree. A lot of people over hype the payoff of importing a ME1 Shepard. There is not a single decision that isn't in the Genesis comic, and has a decent payoff in ME2. ME1's combat and controls feel really dated, and the beginning is extremely slow. Anyone who hasn't played ME1 yet, is better off just buying ME2 and the Genesis DLC.

ME1 has a place in my heart, but I just want to be honest with anyone who feels swayed into trying the ME series after watching the ME3 trailers.

Bioware fixing Mass Effect: Deception novel mistakes in future editions

@Styli

The funny thing is that the Mass Effect "bible" is free and it's avalible to everyone; it's called the Mass Effect Wiki. Seriously, even Bioware have admitted to using it on occasion. Even if Dietz was too proud to ask Bioware for help, all he had to do was look it up on the wiki; instead of just winging it.

Mass Effect 3 'Mission Command' Facebook app offers in-game goodies

@iDrizzy

I know it sucks when CE edition goodies become available to the public, but the Normandy prop was never a CE exclusive. People who went to Comic-Con have the Normandy prop right now. Besides, there aren't infinite quatities on Facebook, just 100,000. Think of it like they're just giving away the spare codes from Comic-Con.
