@(Unverified) No they aren't, gear is completely different in the two games. One of them you are literally buying power. In GW2 all gear at max level will have the same amount of stats. The only difference is appearance and stat distribution. The actual stat value in cumulative will be the same. RoM has a HUGE difference in power in different levels of gear.
@jeremys I'm sorry but no, you can't change the definition to whatever suits you. Pay 2 Win means you have to pay to not only be competitive, but usually you have the advantage. This is exclusive to combat. Whether in competitive pvp or in pve. Paying to win in a fashion show is beyond ludicrous.
Going to be a busy summer. TERA in May along with D3. I wouldn't be surprised if GW2 doesn't launch about the same time. We will find out a date in early april when pre-orders and pre-purchases will be available from the official site. Coincidence that Blizzard announces D3 release date now? Fat chance.
Sadly, with all I am looking towards in other games, not interested in the slightest. Even if GW2 some how falls through, TERA is like WoW, but much better imo. I would rather play TERA over WoW any day. Sorry blizz, you guys can try, but I am done with you.
@Valentina Not everyone has disposable income and the inability to hold onto it. After the nonsense EA has been doing with it's top releases I refuse to have anything to do with them or their products again.
If I had money I totally would. Right now I can't even really afford to buy many games that are already coming out, let alone invest in a potential game. If the economy was better I am sure kickstarter would be even more amazing than it already is. As it stands I just don't have the free money to help anyone out. I am going in debt as it is.
Neither, that is why I love GW2 philosophy and game design. They are doing away with these two archaic archetypes. Good riddance to that artificial crutch.
