Microsoft sues Immersion over alleged breach of contract

Jun 18th 2007 9:08PM (Joystiq)
"Umm, no. Nintendo LICENSED rumble technology from Immersion. In other words, it's not a Nintendo invention."

LOL no. Microsoft and Sony uses a two rotorary rumble, which Immersion has the rights and patents.

Nintendo on the other hand uses a one rotorary rumble, which they developed and have all the rights to, which is why they didn't get sued.

Data shows Blu-ray leading high-def disc battle

Apr 10th 2007 10:22PM (Joystiq)
"100k of that difference would be due to Casino Royale, thanks."

Ian, Casino Royale only sold around 25,000 in the US not 100,000 as they claimed it was, hell The Departed out sold it. Check VideoScan, some more example of Sony FUD.

@Hikaru, yes BD is out selling HD DVD in the USA and Japan but since we do not know the Eu no.s this can not be proven as a worldwide fact. Also How do you know that HD DVD won't catch up, $200 for HD DVD in Xmas is going to be pretty big. Now Why didn't Microsoft put it in to the Elite? Obviously they felt it wasn't a proven format, and because it would a)Cause a lot of shoratges and
b)It will jak the price up a lot.

Now on the main topic:

I reckon this is dissapointing for Blu Ray, you've got a million BD customers in the US and yet you've only beaten your competitor by 100,000? and even yet your highest selling title hasn't sold over 50,000 yet?

Ubi's faith in Wii pays off (in January, at least)

Feb 26th 2007 9:30PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Apart from EA, most other big US publishers are doing very bad on the Wii as well, Its not just Ubisoft.

Activision:

Tony Hawks Downhill Jam (Port of DS and GBA)
Marvel: UA (Port)
CoD (Real shitty Port.)

And on to THQ... a company which has only put out games based on movies and all of them I guess are ports.

At least Ubi has two decent games: Red Steel and RRR
