Mine reaks of curry and hardwood floors mixed with the smell of Minnesota cold. Somewhere in there the occasional wondrous stench of french pressed coffee and tea. That's what my game room smells like. Mmmm.
Wow, that's really cool! Thanks devs! That whole microsoft thing puts a bad taste in my mouth. I know the industry is designed to make money, but come on! Damn cold corporate jerkfaces...
I completely get what you're saying, and your ideas are great. Although, they are essentially scrapping the game and starting over. The game just has nearly the same title with the addition being "Version 2.0". I'm on your side about that auction house... it's insane. I think FFXI's AH worked just fine. I think it'd be cool if they made the AH work something like the right-click button when using Maya - the 3D modeling software. If you're not familiar it's like a web of choices that can lead to further choices when you roll your mouse over... it's hard to explain, so just YouTube it or something...
I suppose it's about time that we have to pay this dev team for all the hard work they have invested into re-developing this game. The set of PDFs they include in the new posting show how professional and caring they really are. Along with the onslaught of "notes from the producer" and all their details on what the dev team is planning. There really is some fantastic concept art in those PDFs they include at the bottom of the page! Not to mention that beautiful development road map showing what they have planned... (I'm kind of a nerd for structure).
Say what you want about it being "broken" but I find it rather intriguing to watch a team of devs develop a game in real-time. I wish their live messages over YouTube were translated, but I guess that'd be rather impossible being that their live and all... although they could get a translator, but that'd just take way too long...
Either way, the fact that they're going to start charging a measly $7/mo doesn't really pain me. That's like the price of one meal... big woop.
I really hope it's Z.O.E. 3. Maybe after seeing SE make a super futuristic world in FFXIII, Hideo thought a collaboration wouldn't be such a bad idea? That'd be so cool but still, it's just a wild guess. Very wild.
