This is a great product, I'm more of a developer than designer but still find it very useful.

I use it for connecting general design themes as well as bringing images from other applications (such as iMockups) to then associate with art/image samples to quickly generate something I can give to a client to review. The in-app browser screen capture and image cropping are definitely my favorite parts of the tool and something that sets it apart.

Honestly never thought this game would interest me, installed and checked it out on a lark (due to it being free), and I have to admit I'm fairly hooked at this point. Even spent 2 bucks playing around with it. Impressed so far, early bugs notwithstanding.

Couple things that stand out to me on this:

1) Aren't new release hardbacks going for significantly more than 14.99? I'm not saying I wouldn't rather pay 9.99 of course but the article above makes it sound like the 14.99 price is the hardcover price?

2) NyaR's comment brings up something the author of this article didn't, and that is the increased level of piracy of a digital version. In business terms piracy is essentially a cost, much like shoplifting for retail chains. So it is factored in to the cost analysis for the product, in addition to the items that the author did list.

Again, 9.99 obviously is better a better short term deal for consumers than 12.99-14.99, but it may not be as cut and dried as it sounds at first glance.

Oops, didn't see that someone had already posted this when I posted my reply to Lithpiper. I think you're absolutely right Miles! (Though I hope we're wrong since I'm looking forward to Cataclysm and would rather have it sooner than later).

Another take: IMHO this doesn't have to do with the holidays and has more to do with the timing of the Cataclysm release. Blizzard has said previously that they regretted the long delay between the fall of Illidan and the WoTL expansion. By doing this (Arthas around April) they can release the new expansion in Q4 (around November again?) and keep the time from the "end" of WoLK content and Cataclysm release to the stated ideal of a 6 month window.

I'd like to be wrong, I'd rather see Cataclysm earlier than later, but to me this indicates more than ever that we won't be seeing it until the end of next year.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet in comments but...

Floating castles/cities aren't as rare as you might think. In the Dragonlance series there were floating citadel's and of course in World of Warcraft the primary citty (in Lich King expansion at least) is Dalaran, which is a floating city (image link below).
