"Quite ballsy for folks to be taking hacked Xbox 360s on Live where they are detectable"
No Capcom, what's ballsy is asking the same people you screwed over to help catch the people who are screwing you over in return. It's like the snobby aristocrats asking the poor and humble town folk to turn Robin Hood over to the authorities.
And while your at it Marvel, how about revaluating your relationship with Activision also, seeing as how that hasn't been doing to well lately, either.
I'm kinda feeling bad for THQ now, 'cause I actually liked them as a publisher. I mean sure they made some costly mistakes, but they gave us some really great games, and unlike a few other publishers, nickel and diming gamers just wasn't their thing. It's sad to see a good publisher go down this way, especially when the greediest publishers (Activision, EA & Capcom) continue to thrive.
I might be one of the few, but I actually enjoyed playing Borderlands solo. Sure it was fun with friends, but I liked being able to do whatever missions I wanted to do at my own pace and keeping all that great loot I found for myself :)
Time exclusive demos!!! Is this what the game industry is coming to? Someone needs to tell Capcom, that the purpose of a demo is to encourage as much people as possible to tryout your game and hopefully purchase it, not to alienate other console users.
If this industry ever crashes again, we can blame EA, Activision and Capcom and ourselves for supporting this crap.
When EA became the publishers for Mass Effect, I was so excited, because I was finally able to play one of the most beloved series on my PS3. Now I'm not so sure. Because as much as I love Mass Effect, and so many other great games this generation, I hate how publishers like EA, Capcom and Activision are milking every dime they can get out us. Toys with DLC may have worked well for Skylanders, a new IP built around the idea, but to shoehorn this into Mass Effect is just ridiculous.
Greedy publishers are killing this industry, and we're helping them.
