Persona 2: Innocent Sin coming to PSP this fall

May 25th 2011 1:25AM (Joystiq)
Damn it, Atlus, quit jumping around the series and give me what I want - Persona 4 Portable. I loved the storyline (having watched the entire Giant Bomb Endurance Run) and just want to play through it in the palm of my hand. P3P is good, but I need my Chie fix.

Barnes & Noble looks to lock down e-book delivery for education with Nook Study

Jul 12th 2010 12:58PM (Engadget)
So glad I got a Nook last week. I'll have a full-color, annotated copy of my books on my PC and a ultra-portable copy on my Nook. Best of both worlds.

Palm's web-based Ares SDK goes gold

Apr 20th 2010 12:25AM (Engadget)
@Samsara Also, Palm is letting open-source devs publish apps without the $99 a year fee, so if you're willing to open your app to the community, you get a free pass on that. Also, they're currently waiving the fee for everyone, so I'd hop on webOSDev and get an account now if you even have an inkling of ever developing a webOS app.

Lenovo ThinkPad L Series arrives for the eco-conscious professional

Apr 20th 2010 12:20AM (Engadget)
@VanillaSperm It may not be the prettiest leptop on the block, but Lenovo knows how to make a rock-solid laptop, even at the low-end of the price spectrum. My SL410 that I just got last month is built like a brick, and the keyboard is fantastic. I've always been a fan of bland, understated design - leaves less distraction from what's important, the stuff on the screen. I'm extremely happy, especially coming from my beleaguered iBook G4 that was more trouble than good for its entire 4 year life.

Rumor: Infinity Ward hiring SOE devs for MMO

Jan 8th 2010 3:28PM (Joystiq)
My insane impossible fantasy: SOE has tapped Infinity Ward to develop the PlanetSide sequel and these employees are just the current PS Live Team being transferred over to work on the new game.

If that were somehow true, I would be the happiest man on the planet. A PlanetSide (a game with a brilliant concept but horrible execution) made by IW (masters of FPS execution)? Greatest. Game. EVER.

Modern Warfare 2 Mythbusters: Explosive hydrants uncovered

I knew about the mattresses and the destroyable air-drop choppers, but the other ones were pretty interesting. I'm going to have to to try the ricocheting throwing knives trick sometime. But one thing to note - a stuck Semtex on a riot shield is not a guaranteed kill even without it being dropped - I've found that you need to either put a few bullets into the shield beforehand or do some direct damage to the holder, and then a stick on the shield will bring them down. Frankly, I feel that a stick on even a brand-new shield should at the very least destroy the shield, leaving the owner shield less but alive, but if IW finds the current way is balanced, whatever...
