Well considering the slim pickings of quality 3DS games (and the fact that it's zelda) it really isnt a surprise that it sold well.

With just about every reviewer saying that Child of Eden is about 3 hours long it really isn't a surprise that people don't want to shell out 50 for it. I don't normally get behind the whole "it's too short to cost that much" argument (loved Limbo, all 3 hours of it, and don't regret paying $15 for it at all) but full retail price for a "game" that looks and sounds like it should of been a downloadadble title...

And shadow of the damned, well that's just too bad. They really should have put out a demo for it though. I think devs need to get behind that idea for their new games, as well as putting some money behind the marketing.

But for the people saying that gamers prefer purchasing remade games over quality new games. Thats not fair. The 3DS has very little games that are worth the core gamers time. So anyone that bought a 3DS (including myself) needed something to do with the thing. Shadows of the damned was an unknown quantity with relitivly little esposure, apart form reviews. And personally reviews don't get me interested in game, they usually only enforce what ever feelings/interst i have. Had there been a demo that i could of gotten a feel for the game, maybe i'd more interested, and then the positive reviews would have pushed me to purchase. But maybe that's just me.

If you consider registering some games and doing a few surveys work, then you might (or at least should) still be in the under 10 crowd.

They are free rewards. And as a collector, i'm persoanlly looking forward to it. I totally would have prefered a Zelda Statue (or anything zelda related, really) but i'm certainly not going to bitch about it and claim to have "worked" for it.

I purhcased these games and systems because i wanted them. If i can get a few FREE collectables out of it, then cool. If you don't like the rewards thats fine, they can't please everyone. But lets keep it in perspective.
