What I hate about this most is that Anonymous thinks they are above the law. If you are against SOPA, call your local representative and vote with your dollar.

Sony has every right to support this piece of crappy legislation, and we have every right not to purchase their products and services.

@Mr Hett What you fail to realize is that a lot of us are happy that our game console is ALSO becoming a great media hub. It's fine if you don't take advantage of that feature, but why are you being pissy because others are getting something additional out of what was initially just a gaming console?

What I do not understand is why the comparison is always to cheaper forms of media. They make so much more money, because their product costs so much more money.

When was the last time anyone purchased a movie ticket, book, or cd that was $60? If their prices were comparable to the forms of media that they compair themselves to, then we would have a good sales announcement.

As someone who did not have a PS2, I am looking forward to these remakes. I was a PC only gamer in those days, and now that these games my friends used to talk about are coming to PS3 it will be great to check them out.

I played about 2 or 3 hours last night, and I am having a blast so far. It appears to be as much of an open world as Saints Row 2 and GTA 4. It's a lot of fun, and I will be playing this a lot.

@Midnitte That link involves hacking my XBox. That is something I have no interest in doing. I just want to plug in the new drive and have it work.

Of all the things that Sony has gotten wrong this console cycle, at least they went with a standard SATA hard drive. I understand why Microsoft went the way they did. I don't agree with it, but I understand it.

I'm usually the one who does not care about multi-player, but this has my interest piqued. Co-Op space battles....hhhmmmm. Ok BioWare, let's see what happens.

Part of the problem is that the game industry is both a software industry, and a consumer goods industry. Books, movies, cd's, and cars for example, are all items that you consume, and eventually sell to someone else, for their use and enjoyment. Those industries have healthy second hand markets.

Computer software, has no "true" second hand market. And that is by design. You don't get to legally share your copy of Microsoft Office with your brother just because you are no longer using it. Technically, your brother, or whomever you share it with, is supposed to purchase their own copy.

While I do not support the later business model, it is one that is there, and has been for quite some time. I support developers making money, so that they can make more games. But this notion that a second hand market is something to be shunned and segregated is not the right direction to take.

I am not sure what the perfect solution to this issue is, but I don't think this is the best one. Sadly, it looks like this is the route that most publishers will be taking.
