Pirates! is a fun but plot-light game that seems like it could fit the pick-up-put-down nature of phone titles, but I wonder how the thing would control on a touch-screen.

If I want to change my cannon shot type while turning into the wind and reefing the sails, I can do all that with the numpad on my keyboard, but on an iPhone?

People use the Valve game names as shorthand for what iteration of the Source engine is being used. It's why we say that during the work to port HL2 to the Mac, Valve also updated it to the Orange Box version of the engine.

The charm really shine through in the first one and I hope they manage to keep that tone in the sequel.

My first run in ME1 was as the default Shep. When I did a renegade playthrough, I created a custom redheaded femshep and never looked back. It was a no-brainer when it cam time to import a save-game into ME2.

I'd even be happy if they would just ditch the stupid points system. You're a big-boy company now, Bioware. You don't have to sell the PC version's DLC in funbucks.

Playing at Bit.Trip Beat for 15 minutes didn't put me in trance so much as get me dangerously close to a stroke-inducing rage. I'm glad I got it in the potato pack so I didn't feel like I had wasted any money on it.
