I could see this being a cool thing if using kinect was to add interaction between master chief and cortana, but from the sounds of it they might as well have added "Halo play with yourself" as a voice command.
I still want to pick this up to play around with the transition between old school graphics and updated graphics and to go back through the flood if nothing else, but i hope to god this is not a full $60 dollar game
I'm all for a reviewer adding there personal tone into a review and not just being about the technical aspect, but the problem with game reviewers like joystiq and destructoid when adding that tone doesn't help someone like me know whether the game on a technical level is worth picking up or leaving alone.
Game reviewers need to have the technical aspects in and then add personal opinions at the end on how they felt playing the game, because not everyone is going to hate or love a game based on the technical aspects, personally I love spider-man edge of time i feel like Beenox fixed camera issues that they had with spider-man shattered dimensions.
however not playing it long enough (due to dark souls) i don't know if there are other issues that i would run into that would drive me nuts, i do feel like this is a step in the right direction to make a spider-man game that would be worth playing for everyone and not just fans of the comic book series.
you forgot to mention again, and again and oh shit again.
I was lucky enough (or unlucky enough) to be able to play dark souls early and my god my guy sneezed and died but oh the sense of accomplishment when i got past an area no other game on the market gave me that.
If i understand yoshida's comments correctly then they are going to fix the issues for the vita but do nothing about the PS3? says Yoshida. "I cannot talk about specific plans, but we are very aware of the issues, and we'd like to address those issues on PS Vita going forward." just based on that comment that's what it seems like.
the only thing i wonder is who thought this was a good idea? This is one of those things you would have to watch drunk to enjoy unless it's being made fun of and you only have to watch at most 30 seconds to a minute of the actual show
I wonder how many of those 350 million downloads were Re-downloads, I had to delete it from my phone 3 times before it worked, played it for about 2 minutes and deleted it because i didn't find it to be any fun.
the funniest thing about all of this is how closed off the Playstation was prior to all the hacking that occurred on the system, I dropped the PS3 when they dropped linux ability and backwards compatibility, but i never once agreed with all the hacking that occurred.
It just seems like sony is going around talking about how open there system is after they spent so many years keeping the system locked down and closed, I'm sure that Microsoft would eventually open there system up if they saw it as a better business move but right now they probably don't see it that way.
Honestly if developers were so fully getting there butts kicked by microsofts policies then i can't see why from a business stand point they would keep developing for the 360 i think it all comes down to money developers will keep making games for the 360 because from a business stand point it's not a bad idea.
From my understanding and seeing the box for the PC version of DE:HR no where on the box did it advertise onlive, the only way to know you got a coupon for trying onlive was to open a new product, which is nothing new for gamestop they have been doing this for years they get new product in and cut it open take the disc out and sell it as new.
My biggest issue with this type of business practice is the fact that they end up selling a new product that could be damaged, have issues and then don't allow someone who did not open it in the first place to return it if it doesn't work (I could be wrong since i have not bought from Gamestop in 3 years, but at the time this was what happened to me with a new game i bought from them)
I wonder how many movies and games best buy, target, walmart sell that promote another company with some kind of trial offer, It's the nature of business any retail company that sells another companies product is more than likely going to have some kind of offer inside the product that is a promotion for a competing business.
personally I think competition can be a healthy thing, but it doesn't matter what the PR people are saying when the games being released are the same thing over and over, after seeing the new multiplayer trailer for battlefield 3 i'm tempted to step into playing online games again just because of all the options that are available. (airplanes, helicopters, tanks, jeeps) it will be interesting to see how it plays out online and if they can properly set up the online so it doesn't lag too bad.
It sucks that the xbox failed in japan but i agree anyone who bitches to much about this is a major fanboy, because microsoft is primarily focused on america with their sales, just like nintendo focuses a lot on games in japan and america tends to be left out when it comes to the really amazing games that are new IP's like xenoblade, and last story.
As much as i dislike sony as a company the one thing i can give to them is they try to at least bring all titles and release them across the board, so i don't feel like i'm missing out on some amazing game just because it's geared towards the japanese audience
