I LOVE Too Human. It's probably the only game I've already played extensively that I'll buy when I get my own 360 this fall. Too each their own I guess.
DeathSpank doesn't really compare. They feel like completely different games to me. DeathSpank is definitely recommended, if only for the humour and how addicting it is, but Too Human is still one of my favourite games this generation, I love replaying it in co-op.
By the by, Too Human is $15 on Amazon. Buy DeathSpank for sure, but Too Human is at least worth a look, and well worth it if you can overlook some of its *glaring* problems.
@Lerkero; "For the most part though, videogame soundtracks are composed of licensed songs ..."
We must not be playing the same games then. Almost all of the games I play contain original music composed or arranged for the game. To the exclusion of even a single licensed song or artist even.
Also, Citizen Kane? Really? I really wish they'd take film history out of community colleges. Anyone who considers Citizen Kane the greatest achievement in cinema is full of themselves ... as evidenced by you actually having the gaul to throw in the question of of someone else's 'taste'.
By the by, Citizen Kane is pretty darn important, but that's neither here or there. You're ranting against originality most unoriginally.
@Brockobama123; Hollywood will not be used as a catch all term for film making, understood? The film industry as a whole has taken drastic strides in both directions, producing both great and terrible 200 million dollar blockbusters as well as fostering creativity from bright filmmakers who embrace the so-called 'independent' and avant-garde process.
Same with video games. I'm sick of this 'industry' tosh. There are brilliant developers both in and outside of the corporate circle making great and unique games. Some will follow the Activision model, sure, but others will continue to create exceptional games and not get sucked in by the profit potential.
