Hero Academy update adds Tribe team, optimizes app for iPad

Mar 31st 2012 1:25AM (Joystiq)
I can't understand why this game isn't more popular. Sure, it kind of sucks that you can't necessarily pick it up and play whenever you want, but you can easily start enough games to have turns available at any point in time. On top of that, it's free to play, absolutely not pay to win, has a gorgeous art style, I well supported, and most of all, is a legitimately fun game that really requires some thought to perform well. Maybe the learning curve is too much for most people to make it beyond a couple turns/games. Its clearly not aimed toward the usual iOS demographic, but regardless, I feel like this should consistently be atop the free charts.

Ben Heck invents controller-mounted Hot Pocket holder

Jan 24th 2012 2:01PM (Joystiq)
@NoPantsToday

Hot Pockets are definitely nasty, and I don't think I would ever use this sort of thing, but it's still kind of a cool design and it was fun to watch him put it together.

Now, make something like this for beer or really any other beverage and I'd be interested! I guess that's what those beer hats are for though. Combine something like that but comfortable and not ridiculous looking (if that's even possible) with a headset and I'm sold!

Me and my brothers used to make farm equipment out of Legos.

This is a million times cooler.

Bungie vidoc drops hints, possible art from new project

Aug 4th 2011 5:11PM (Joystiq)
This is great. I'll admit that I have only been a fan of Bungie since the Halo series started, but I find it fascinating to hear them talk so candidly about their beginnings and Halo's development. It's not often you get this kind of look at a developer. I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

I have to buy this, don't I? I don't even play PC games (integrated intel graphics 'card') but I can't pass this up!

Portabliss: Tiny Tower (iOS)

Jul 11th 2011 2:10PM (Joystiq)
Awesome, this is a great new feature. I just know there is so much good stuff out there but don't have the patience to wade through it all myself.

Which means Tiny Tower probably won't actually end up being free for me. Oh well! I'll still check it out

Ms. 'Splosion Man contains a hidden dig at Capcom

@Magnalon:

Haha, yes! Those levels were awesome! And were definitely much harder than the rest of the game. I always had to go back to the Top Secret Area to stock up on feathers and get Yoshi

Ms. 'Splosion Man review: Sweet science

Jul 11th 2011 1:52PM (Joystiq)
Glad to hear it! I loved the original, and had a good time messing around in the beta for this one. So let's just say that I had the screen up but hadn't hit that 'confirm purchase' button yet before seeing this review.

Well, that's what would have happened if today was Wednesday.

WRUP: Supreme Court decision redux

Bully! Working through the backlog since I haven't bought any new games recently.
