PSN Tuesday: Wheels of Destruction, I Am Alive, Canabalt

@Vic Fontaine

Did they explain the lack of copying, I presume it has to do with licencing. Sony probably licensed the games for PS3/PSP not all Sony consoles.

Rumor: Stripped down Xbox planned for 2013

no a bad idea, most of the kinect games/apps could be run on a Wii as is anyways, hopefully sells for $100-$125. I know its mentioned it would compete with Apple TV but no idea what that costs.

Vita drop test goes surprisingly well if you're not taller than 4 feet

@iononion

I don't know how many times my phone slipped from my hands and started to fall in seemingly slow motion, I try to catch it but in the end just end up slapping it across the room all the while still falling at it's 9.8m/s2 BANG!. sometimes I lose the battery, but usually I just hear the wife "What are you breaking?"...

I've always been pleasantly surprised with the strength of these mobile devices.

@Dragun

Septerra Core was a great game, but I'm not sure if I liked it because it was really the only JRPG out for the PC around the time the Playstation started pushing out the Final Fantasy games.

It would suck even more if it fell on my roof, then I slipped on the ice and snow, fell to the ground, snapped my leg and the broken bone pieced the disc :(

UK: Buy a 3G Vita from Vodafone, get free memory card, Wipeout 2048

@Dick Socrates

I don't know, I bought my PS3 at launch for 600 ish dollars, sure I could get one today for $250, but then I would have lost out of 5 years of gaming. Assuming there is only another 2 years of viable life left in the system, I paid about $85 per year ($7 per month) to have the best of the best. If I bought today I would pay $125 ish per year ($10 per month).

Ubi's server migration closeouts extend beyond previously announced titles

Ubisoft is the devil.

Just push all DRM through steam and be done with it!

Don't call it a remake: Final Fantasy X is a 'remaster,' to be clear

Feb 6th 2012 10:58AM (Joystiq)
FFX is much easier to remaster then the older games would be. 7 was really big, same with 8 and 9. FFX only takes about 14 hours to finish and the levels are pretty linear.

That being said, I would love to see a remake of Final Fantasy IX, and I suppose VII as well.

PSA: Ubisoft server migration means temporary offline time for some games

Feb 3rd 2012 9:36AM (Joystiq)
@Vesuvium

Agreed, I've had nothing but problems from the get-go with Heroes VI, Jan 1st it was offline all day, no one said a peep and UBIsoft was conveniently 'updating' their forums at the same time so you couldn't get answers from anyone at all.

I wouldn't mind being stuck in offline mode, but they force you to keep your saves 'in the cloud' so you couldn't continue any games and you couldn't play offline with anything but the default heroes.

total Garbage
