I'm all for it. It's a slippery slope we can all ride, Crocodile Mile-style that has politicians wearing humiliating banners essentially saying the same thing.
That's a relief to hear, because the standard Dragon's Lair experience? Pretty much the most unfriendly game to be played on Kinect this side of Robotron 2084 (in terms of reaction time at least). Now I'm a lot more interested.
In all fairness, the budget of Dead Souls is probably a LOT less than it would take for a new Shenmue.
However, it'd be awesome if the Yakuza team allied with Yu Suzuki and Sega killed two birds with one stone; properly updating Yakuza while developing assets that could be re-used in Shenmue 3. I mean, let's face it, the two series are quite similar. Sega saves money and everyone wins.
I agree and sympathize to an extent (hell, I was one of those people clawing my eyes out over the finale to LOST). However, realistically, was Metroid: Other M a Final Fantasy 7, Mass Effect or Half-Life caliber game? An ending could certainly become a blemish on how you come to perceive the overall product, but to throw it away entirely, particularly when the rest was spectacular? That kind of mentality is childish and manages to denigrate the argument of anyone out there with a legitimate point.
While I (mostly) liked the ending, I don't care whether or not anyone else agrees. It's only the gross hyperbole of those saying "Bioware raped the past few years of my life and ME3 is shit" that I find to be extremely tiresome.
Exactly. Even if we all don't agree about the ending, surely we can all agree that ME3 is a spectacular game. Unless that is, things've changed in the world. I mean, FF7 is regarded by most to be one of the top 5 games, ever, and its ending was indefensibly poor.
I'm not going to say anything about "entitlement" and how Bioware owes anyone their dreams, because it's slightly more nuanced for the most part, but if this ending literally "ruined" the entire game for you? Then yes, I would argue that you ARE being petulant.
